Our Story

Bare Branding is an open-access community print workshop located in Leith, Scotland. Together with a small group of volunteers, we aim to help designers, makers and artists across Edinburgh to produce a broad range of commercially-viable printed products. What’s more, we are very happy to share our knowledge and skills, so we positively welcome customer participation in all stages of the print process.

Over the past 6 years we have aided both local and international charities with project that supports their causes.

Our Services

At our workshop we provide facilities and expertise for direct-to-garment printing, giclée, photographic fine art printing and digital reproduction.

FINE ART LIGNON-FREE PAPER

Deliver high-quality, durable prints on this cost-effective alternative to high-end, smooth fine art papers. HP Matte Litho-realistic Paper, with a colour-stable coating, has the look and feel of heavy, offset paper.

Prints are designed to last on this colour-stable, lignin-free, buffered paper. Built for high productivity, see excellent image quality in productive modes, and enjoy instant handling and flexible processing. Produce high-quality poster art and reproductions. HP Matte Litho-realistic Paper, with a colour-stable coating, has the look and feel of heavy, offset paper.

Deliver prints that withstand the test of time. Providing durable performance indoors, away from direct sun, up to 200 years, in-window up to 1 year, unlaminated, up to 2 years laminated on this colour-stable, lignin-free paper.

GICLEE PRINT

Giclée printing offers vibrant, highly detailed results with more accurate colour reproduction, exceptional longevity, and a wide choice of fine art papers in different weights, whites and textures. It is ideal for small runs and print-on-demand editions, and is highly valued by artists, collectors and galleries.

Using lightfast, archival-quality EPSON UltraChrome HDX pigment inks, our 10-colour printer produces deep blacks, vivid colours and an especially wide printable range, making it the perfect way to turn your artwork into a lasting fine art print rather than a standard poster.

We also offer complimentary test strip prints with your first project, expert advice on paper choice, and presentation options including clear sleeves, stiffeners, protective packaging for posting, and artwork labels to elevate the final presentation.

APPAREL

As a Bare Branding customer, you can also benefit from our network of suppliers. We source from a wide range of unbranded, sustainably produced apparel and can supply from single items to multi-packs.

Let us know what you’re looking for, whether it’s work wear such as aprons and hi-vis vests, leisure wear like hoodies, t-shirts and jackets, or items of luggage including backpacks and gym bags.

We can’t promise to deliver the next day, indeed if you’re happy to save on delivery charges, you may be asked to wait while we build up an order.

DTF printing offers vibrant full-colour, durable, highly detailed results on a wide range of fabrics, with fast turnaround and no need for pre-treatment.

Visit Bare Branding’s open print stalls at Leith Market every Saturday from 10am to 5pm, featuring an ever-changing roster of talented local artists.
