You’re an open access workshop. Can I visit without an appointment?

We’d prefer to know when you’re likely to call in so we can ensure we are available, but in general, we don’t turn people away. You can drop us an email at info@bare-branding.co.uk to make an appointment. We’re also happy to discuss all your print needs over the phone.

Have you got a list of your products and services?

Our main lines of business are fine art printing and direct-to-garment printing. Our range of products includes giclée and photographic fine art prints, posters and small runs of digitally printed garments.

Do you make still make stickers?

In our drive to cut back on our use of plastic we’ve stopped making vinyl stickers. We’re currently investigating whether we will be able to provide paper self-adhesive stickers.

What is the best way get my digital artwork to you?

We recommend WeTransfer for uploading your digital artwork. This service is free and you don’t require an account to send us files. (If you’re not logged in to WeTransfer, don’t forget to input the six figure code from their email to start the upload.)

My artwork isn’t digital. How can I get it digitally printed?

We now offer a repro service for artwork. Your artwork can either be scanned or photographed.

Bare Branding now has a high quality, high resolution A3 flatbed scanner. Generally we can scan pieces that are larger than A3 by scanning in sections and then photo-stitching to produce a single image.

If the artwork is not suitable for scanning, for example if it’s a varnished painting, we may be able to photograph it. The artwork will need to be brought to our studio. We won’t be able to photograph pieces much larger than A2.

Please note we might need to hang on to your artwork for a few days while we get a print ready digital copy.

Can my web graphics be used to print my artwork?

Generally speaking, no. Bitmap graphics from the web are typically low resolution. We would always need to see the original artwork at its highest resolution.

What is the preferred format for giclée prints?

We prefer lossless bitmap formats such as TIFF or a vector formats like PDF. For producing fine art prints the resolution should be 300 dpi. The colour mode can be either CMYK or RGB. At Bare Branding we tend to use the latter with the Adobe RGB (1998) ICC colour profile though some artworks will suit other colour profiles.

If you’ve created your digital art in RGB mode please don’t convert it to CMYK before you send it to us.

Can you still print wallpaper?

Not since the beginning of 2022. To create room for our new direct-to-garment printer, we sold our large format printer. Paper is now printed solely on our high end giclée inkjet printer.

Do Bare Branding still have screen printing facilities?

No. Towards the end of 2019 we sold all of our screen print equipment. Although we’d spent time investigating the latest water-based inks, we came to the conclusion that there were many aspects of the screen print process that didn’t fit with our ideas for sustainability and just-in-time delivery.

If you require your artwork printing onto apparel such as t-shirts or tote bags please contact us about full colour, direct-to-garment digital printing. Bare Branding have recently invested in this as we feel it is the way forward for sustainable fashion.

Do Bare Branding still make banners?

No. Most banner material is from PVC and is not easily re-purposed or recyclable so we stopped offering this service.
