Bare Branding represents the unique transformation of a private business into a social enterprise aimed at encouraging local people to learn new skills and work together. It borrows from the Maker Movement and the open-access studio approach used in other cities to bring useful and marketable skills to the general public.
The beating heart of Bare Branding is our Bare Hub: a fully-equipped, open access studio space that allows users to produce their own signage, displays, custom imprinted products and many other branded items, all at extremely affordable rates. By paying a studio access fee users gain the use of our studio and one-on-one guidance on how to use the printers and cutters to produce professional results. From custom T-shirts to packaging, labels, posters, stickers and bags to museum-quality signage and displays. Everything is here to make your ideas into reality.
THE KEY IS THAT WE TEACH YOU HOW TO USE THE EQUIPMENT AND YOU DO THE WORK YOURSELF.
The hands-on approach teaches users valuable and real-world skills. Moreover, it excludes any service charges and thus offers dramatic savings for groups, communities and individuals who use the Bare Hub. Once familiar with the processes the members of the hub can share their knowledge and train others, and in this way contribute to a stronger sense of community in Leith.
